Vineyards for sale silver coast Portugal - We are now living in the seaside resort of Foz Do Arelho near Obidos LAGOON which is an hour north of LISBON international airport and 2 hours south of PORTO airport. This (until recently) undiscovered investment-area is on the atlantic westcoast of Foz Do Arelho known as the silvercoast (just imagine west coast Scottish/ Irish beaches but with lots more sun!). Thanks to recent TV programmes and now Channel 4's interest in central Foz Do Arelho it is becoming well known as a great place to invest. With property prices about 10 years behind the Costa Del Sol or the Algarve and tax laws very similar to the UK it's smart to INVEST IN LOCAL PROPERTY.

Lourinha - is in a very attractive area within easy reach of Bombarral, Óbidos, Peniche and Torres Vedras tho' with it's distance from the A8 it is stll about an hour from Lisbon. In some time this area has specialised in the production of grape brandy known as " Aguardente" that are only sold after being kept 2 years in oak casks. The town of Lourinha itself has small individual shops reminding us of the days of impersonal concrete shopping malls.
Santa Cruz - Not to be confused with Santa Cruz on Madeira this large town reminds us very much of Biarritz with its old grandeur mixed in with new apartment blocks and old pavilions. Close to all the surf areas on the Silver Coast. In need of a lick of paint in places but it does have some lovely properties and beach cafes and is ideal as holidays as it is only 35 minutes from Lisbon. Vimeira golf course and the Hotel Golf Mar which has an equestrian centre and spa are only 3km from Santa Cruz.
